The shells are too small that they do not help even 50% to decrease the 'sun's entry.

Excellent shading from side lighting. Really improves viewing of birds even in reduced light conditions. The eyepiece lens cover which is in the kit fits well and does it’s job.
This is my 3rd set of i peace love them and have 6 different scopes and binoculars
