FRP forehead rest NL PureThe user of binoculars is not a tripod! So I asked myself what improvement in the image is possible when using the forehead rest. I was surprised that with the forehead rest (after some adjustments of the forehead rest) the NL Pure 14x52 shows a smoother image than the EL 10x50! Therefore, 5 stars is the rating for me.
Very practical for stabilizing binoculars. But fragile: I had to change it after two years. And so expensive for such a small item.
The FRP is a sensible and expensive addition. However, if you own an NL PURE 52, you should bear in mind that the binoculars with strap and forehead rest can only be stowed in the FSB-L binocular bag supplied with the binoculars with great effort. The bag is simply far too tight. This is no fun and makes no sense. With binoculars costing €3,550.00, a suitable bag must be included. Swarovski itself does not see any compatibility with a 52 and writes in the product description of the FSB-L functional bag: Due to the sideways position of the binoculars in the FSB Functional Sidebag, they can be grasped directly when reaching into the bag. This means that the binoculars can be used quickly without having to reach around. The FSB-M functional bag is suitable for NL Pure 32, EL 32, EL Range 32 and SLC 42. The FSB-L functional bag is suitable for AX Visio, NL Pure 42, EL Range 42 and EL 42.
Perfect for stabilising my binoculars for a steady viewing experience and taking the weight away from my eyes. Great for specs wearers as well.
