Our company canteen. “Zum Habicht” is a place where you can relax with colleagues in a bright, friendly atmosphere and enjoy healthy, regional food that tastes great every day. A typical autumn menu looks like this:
Menu 1: Venison ragout with red cabbage, spaetzle, and cranberries
Menu 2: Greek salad with garlic bread
Menu 3: Pasta with broccoli, onions, zucchini, and tomatoes
Low carb: Fried fish with Mediterranean vegetables and olives
In addition, our chef Werner Haidegger and his crew of five serve a colorful salad buffet, two soups of the day, two desserts plus yogurt and fruit to complement the selection.
In "normal" times, the canteen serves around 350 to 400 people daily, currently around 250 people. The broad selection of delicacies offers something delicious for every taste, with vegetarian and low-carb dishes proving particularly popular.
At SWAROVSKI OPTIK, sustainability is key. Naturally, this conviction is also reflected in the food we eat. We source vegetables from the farmers of the Tyrolean villages nearby. Bakery, dairy and sausage products are 100 percent Austrian, while the proportion of meat is only slightly lower. The meals are free of preservatives and taste amplifiers. Exact nutritional values and allergens of all menus can be inquired at any time, which rounds the offer off perfectly for all those who consciously seek a healthy diet.
Employees pay 4.75 euros for the menu. SWAROVSKI OPTIK supports the company canteen with a six-figure sum each year. Upon prior notice, the food can also be taken home to the family if required to support working mothers and fathers. In addition, our canteen offers exciting cooking classes, such as bread baking workshops. They are a great opportunity for our kitchen staff and all other interested employees to learn something new again and again.
