The specially shaped lenses provide crystal-clear images all the way to the edges. If your eye moves in the large field of view, this technology eliminates the need to refocus.
Brief description of the SWAROVISION technology
The key feature of the ground-breaking SWAROVISION technology is the field flattener lenses which offset the curvature of the field of view and provide edge sharpness. This means the complete image stays sharp from the middle of the field of view all the way to the edges. There is no need to refocus if your eye moves in the image, you can immediately see every detail in absolute clarity. The special coating on the lenses in combination with the inert gas filling ensures color fidelity.
The NL Pure series
The binoculars in the NL Pure series offer an enormous field of view all the way to the edges. The wasp waist ensures that each optical device sits ergonomically in your hand. This makes all the binoculars in this product series loyal companions even during extended periods of use. The amazing quality provided by SWAROVISION and the field flattener lenses guarantees precise and razor-sharp images with no distortion.
I’m the first birding guide in Sabah Malaysia using Swarovski first EL series. The reason I’m switching to Swarovski Optik is because of the design, sharpness, lightweight and better for our forest/ jungle here. Beside that the Optik is have better light transmission when you inside the jungle and also service after sale.
I love nature since I was a kid, specially all the wildlife now bird is most interesting in the nature, since I’ve new tools like binoculars then I’ve more and better quality time with nature etc.

To identify birds, I need as many plumage details as I can get. Especially when it comes to subtle differences, I truly appreciate the crystal-clear image of my NL Pure binoculars and my ATX spotting scope. The only downside? When I get an ID wrong, I can't blame it on poor optics—because SWAROVSKI’s quality is simply unmatched.
Waking up before sunrise, climbing 800 meters in elevation, and waiting for hours in freezing cold just to catch a glimpse of a little brown bird—most people wouldn’t call that appealing. But for me, that’s happiness. The pure joy of observing nature draws me outside and gives me that unique sense of discovery, which I also love to share on social media as @Naturgucker_Tom.
What I like most about them is their exceptional optical quality and elegant design. These binoculars provide incredibly sharp and clear images, even in low-light conditions, and their ergonomic design makes them comfortable to use for extended periods. Their durability and precision have always met my expectations, making them an essential tool for my outdoor activities.
My passion for nature comes from a lifelong sense of wonder and connection. I found joy in the freedom of running through forests and the serenity of rivers. This bond deepened as I explored nature's mysteries as a guide and biologist, always driven by curiosity and a desire to understand, cherish, and protect the natural world.

I chose the Swarovski binoculars for their optical excellence, which is just unbelievable. The combination of crispness and colour of the image, and wide field of view make them very hard to beat. The binoculars also fit so well in the hand, making them a pleasure to use in the field.
I've been a keen bird watcher since I was ten, and a professional bird guide for the last 25 years. I'm also a conservation biologist, and regularly conduct bird surveys at various remote locations in Africa.

I spend whole days looking for birds moving through the vegetation, flying over the horizon or migrating through Alpine passes. As with any job, you try to use the best tool to get the best performance. I have found the best optics in Swarovski Optik. Also, their availability and support for all eventualities is outstanding.
Observing and studying nature is something I have loved since I was a child, I used to spend whole days there. Now I do it for a living. To be able to do it in such detail and at such close range, thanks to Swarovski Optik optics, is extraordinary.

I have been using binoculars my whole life. I’m an avid hunter hiker outdoorsman, and I’ve used binoculars my whole life. As I’ve gotten older, I had a medical issue that left me with some significant vision problems. Some of the problems that I have is with contrast and color, not just blurry vision. Because I want to continue to hunt I decided I needed to upgrade my binoculars considerably. MY GOD I have never held a set of binoculars much less used a set of binoculars this good. Even the feel of them in your hand is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. The clarity, how quick the focus is. I got mine in a 12 x 42. Mostly because of my vision issues I needed the 12 power but like everyone has said before, the 12 power makes it so you may have to have a very very stable platform to set your binoculars on to keep things from moving around. Because it magnifies things more the slightest movement in the 12 power Will cause the item you’re looking at to jump around quite a bit. So I still stick by my choice of the 12 power even though I do need to brace it on something, so my hiking stick or a branch or anything is great Top quality!
Everything is fine!
Verdict: Very good. Very Very good. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Strengths: Very good image. Very good clarity, contrast, and "3Dness" when looking through bino. Quite likely best in the world. Good lowlight perf. Good dawn and dusk performance within reasonable requirements. Very Good FOV. You'd get a 10x mag bino FOV, in a 12x mag bino. Very good handshake control. With the extra $169 foreshead rest and the extra $45 winged eye cup, you'd get a 10x mag bino handshake, in a 12x mag bino. Good magnification rating. Even among other NL pure binos, the 12x42 truely hits the spot. Any less or more magnification would entail insufficient detail or excessive shake and size. An 14, 15, or 20 mag bino would likely result in tripod support, in which case, might as well go all the way with a spotting scope. Good form factor. Good size and weight with respect to other alpha glass. Good rubber armor. Rubber armor feels nicer than other alpha glass. Also nice color. Feels very good in the hand. Solid Warranty From my readings, any swaro binos have superb after market service. Nice strap. The included strap connects nice. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shortfalls: Good-ish price. I would give a 4 or even 3 star review given the exorbitant price of bino. However, price is not more than other alpha glass. Bruises like peach. Be very mindful of keep bino lens away from dirt, dust, and oils. RARELY Use ONLY distill water and hot breath to clean. Do not even use dust blower let alone alchohol to clean lens. Any small mistake will smear lens coating... Unique shape, but not necessarily meaningful. Holding the binocular on the end will aid stability. So, if you hold the bino at the end, the advertised hourglass shape ergonomicness is lost. If anything, the hourglass shape is more of an fashion advertisement. Vexing bino mount options. Need to buy extra dedicated $199 Swaro Bino mount. Other 3rd party ~$100 options are available, but will require some research and reading. But other alpha glass also fall under this pitfall. Excessive Swaro logos. Along with the included strap, there are a total of 4 eagle logos, and 2 Swaroski letterings. Excessve with respect to other alpha glass. Not-So-Nice Strap. Strap is not compatible with any other 3rd party straps.
The best binoculars hands down.
