James Lees took his children, Benjamin and Iona, outdoors to test the dG in the field. Join them on their adventure by watching the video:
The whole family got a chance to play with the dG. Thanks to the connected Merlin Bird ID App they correctly identified a Mute Swan, a Red-breasted Merganser, and an American Black Duck.
Thanks to the “Explore Birds” feature in Merlin Bird ID by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, they learned more about the species they encountered. Whether you want to see further pictures, listen to the birds’ calls or look at a map showing you where and when to expect a certain species, the dG in combination with Merlin is definitely a cool learning tool. It makes exploring nature and wildlife all the more fun.
If your family is more into mammals, butterflies and dragonflies check out the Wildlife ID app. It offers swift animal identification and a lot of interesting background information about the mammals of Europe.
