NL Pure 8x32I'm a professional naturalist, field artist, and explorer, and I use optics every day—it's important to me that I have the highest quality possible because I'm studying species to draw them, or I'm helping others to identify birds or butterflies or reptiles using optics. I love the clarity and color brilliance of Swarovski optics!
I believe everyone can (and should) be an explorer—you don't have to do epic trips to explore the world around you, whether it's 10 miles from your home or 10,000. When people explore nature, they often fall in love with it, and then I hope they want to join in conserving it.

As an outfitter that spends many hours glassing, I have found quality is everything. After years of trying different brands, Swarovski Optic has always been my go-to glass.
The outdoor lifestyle was instilled in me at an early age. Now 20 plus years as an outfitter I pass the tradition along to my kids.

I’ve been using Swarovski binoculars and telescopes for birdwatching for over 30 years. The 8x32 NL Pure binoculars I have are fantastic and are a joy to use. They have a wonderfully sharp and bright image, are close focussing and are compact and light enough for me to use comfortably all day on birding trips. I'm passionate about birds and nature generally and I’ve been fortunate to travel to some wonderful remote and unspoiled places on all seven continents to watch birds and wildlife. Sadly these remarkable wild places and the animals they support are increasingly threatened and we all need to support conservation efforts to protect and preserve them for future generations.

As an outdoor photographer, I am always looking for ways in which I can reduce the weight in my camera bag and accordingly, felt that the 8 x 32 binoculars were the obvious choice for me due to their relative smaller size and weight.
I have always been fascinated by the relationships between the elements of the natural world. Photography is a conduit that allows me to disassemble a landscape and reassemble the pieces through the viewfinder of my camera. It is the way that elements combine which make a place special - the whole should be more than a sum of its parts.

I love everything about the binoculars except the attachment mechanism for the straps.
I love my NL Pure binoculars, but it has taken me many years to buy such an expensive product. For many years I was very happy to use binoculars that cost far less. I decided to buy te NL Pure because I came to some money and because I was going to travel (mostly birdwatching) for about a year.
The optics are the best I know, but the covers fell off in six weeks, the strap attachment broke, and the rubber on the eyecups is disintegrating. I am a guide at Ponant, I use binoculars every day, and I am disappointed that all these parts deteriorate so quickly. It's difficult to "sell" these binoculars to our customers after letting them try them out (they are obviously impressed by the quality of the optics), but encouraging them to buy binoculars costing over €2,000 with such significant defects in the accessories is problematic.
Good optics
