CL Companion Habicht 10x30
The CL Companion Habicht 10x30 was created to celebrate the 75th anniversary of SWAROVSKI OPTIK. It combines the proven quality of the compact CL Companion with the design of the first binoculars from SWAROVSKI OPTIK, the Habicht. The 10x magnification brings the crucial details even closer to you. The leather for the CL Companion Habicht comes from sustainable production in Europe and is vegetable tanned. Extracts from olive leaves are used for this gentle process.
What to consider when choosing your binoculars
Objective lens diameterThe objective lens diameter specifies how much light can enter the optics. This makes it a key factor in an instrument’s performance, for example, in twilight. The bigger the objective lens diameter, the more light the objective lens can capture. The darker the surroundings, the larger the objective lens diameter needs to be. Check the precise product name as the number after the ‘x’ specifies the objective lens diameter in millimeters. For example, a device with the suffix 10x42 has an objective lens with a diameter of 42 mm.
MagnificationThe magnification specifies the factor by which an object appears to be closer in comparison with the actual distance. The higher the magnification, the closer the object seems to be. However, a higher magnification also means a smaller field of view. Check the precise product name as the number in front of the ‘x’ specifies the magnification. For example, 10x42 is a device with 10x magnification.
Field of viewThe field of view describes the size of the image section that can be seen through the optics. This is specified either in meters (width) at a distance of 1000 meters (m/1000m), or feet (width) at a distance of 1000 yards (ft/1000 yds), or as an angle (degrees). The higher the magnification, the smaller the field of view.
Binoculars have a large field of view, which means you can see a wide area. Spotting scopes have a higher magnification, which makes the field of view much smaller, but you can see more detail.

Shortest focusing distanceThe shortest focusing distance specifies how close an object needs to be to see it clearly with the optics. Between this value and infinity, it is possible to focus the image.

Limited anniversary edition
The CL Companion Habicht is limited to unique 1,000 pieces. Each individual pair f binoculars comes with its own certificate and is numbered by hand. This way you can be sure to get a unique one-of-a-kind.
The natural differences in the appearance of leather products can lead to slight variations. However, this is a quality feature and has no negative impact on the optical quality or durability of the binoculars.
Sustainably manufactured
The leather for the CL Companion Habicht comes from sustainable production in Europe and is vegetable tanned. Extracts from olive leaves are used for this gentle process. We also pay attention to sustainable regionality when it comes to accessories: The high-quality bag is made of cloth loden (sheep wool), which is produced in Germany, as well as Nappa leather and is lined with cotton.

No cleaning kit, no protective caps for the front lenses. Case is more for the cupboard, but not for "on the road". The binoculars themselves are very, very nice. I just make a case "by my selve", and I get the cleaning kit from someone who once forgot his CL on the roof of his car..... I'll see if I can get matching protective caps in a "swarovski store" and the "logo" for the "homemade" case. Since I know other models, the quality is very good as far as the optics etc. are concerned, only what is supplied for an "anniversary model" is "poor"!

For me, the best binoculars ever.
I like the smaller size and less weight without any notable compromise of sharpness or clarity. Good for birding.
