Absam / Tyrol, March 2009: SWAROVSKI OPTIK is expanding the successful Z6 generation of rifle scopes with three high-magnification models. SWAROVSKI OPTIK has completed its Z6 series with a total of eight models each individually tailored to the shooter’s requirements.
In January 2007 Swarovski Optik revolutionised the rifle scope market and launched rifles scope with 6x zoom. For the hunter this means a visual field area that is up to 50 percent larger, a magnification range that is up to 50 percent higher and an eye distance that is up to 50 percent longer. All these features make the Z6 models universally usable, and perfect companions for all manner of use, from moving hunting to mountain hunting. One year later, the revolutionary Z6 series was supplemented by the
Z6(i) 2.5-15x56 P model which is excels itself in poor light conditions.
Now, in 2009, SWAROVSKI OPTIK is launching three new high-magnification models which are ideal for shots at long distances. They also have a lateral parallax turret, which enables the hunter to shoot surely and precisely even at long range. The HD optic ensures perfect reproduction performance even at high magnifications.
Z6(i) 2.5-15x44 P
With this slim rifle scope, there is no longer any need for devotees of short, manoeuvrable firearms to compromise. The 15x magnification with parallax correction and HD optic provide the hunter with the necessary reliability for shots at long distances. Particularly in difficult, rough terrain or hunting abroad where weight and distance often play a decisive role.
Z6(i) 3-18x50 P
The 18x magnification clearly stands for very long range targets. In conjunction with the new, lateral parallax correction and the HD optic, this rifle scope is tailor-made for shooting at long distances. The 3x magnification additionally offers the hunter the security of a large field of view.
Z6(i) 5-30x50 P
The re-designed Z6 model with 30x magnification, lateral parallax turret and HD optic illustrates its strength at a great distance. Furthermore, the Z6(i) 5-30x50 P is also suitable for sports target/hunting shooting.
These three new models are also available with and without reticle illumination, and apart from the Z6(i) 5-30x50 P, all Z6 models are optionally available with the SR rail. All high-magnification models have the option of the ballistic turret. This enables the hunter to “stay on the spot” at different distances and to define desired distances individually, set them effortlessly and change them again at will.
Swarovski Optik also provides its enhanced ballistics programme at www.swarovskioptik.com/ballisticprograms. The new programme, developed in cooperation with Ferlach Technical College (Weapons Engineering Department), is now easier and more user-friendly to operate. It is set up for all long-range reticles (TDS, BR, 4A-300) in addition to the ballistic turret and the programmes can now be downloaded.
